If you want to help your wrists and forearms without totally relearning how to type, the Logitech ERGO K860 is kind of a unicorn. Its curved, split design encourages a more natural posture, and that plush wrist rest really helps. And here's the thing: the learning curve is surprisingly short, especially when you compare it to some of the more extreme split keyboards out there. It also connects to multiple devices, runs for what feels like forever on AAA batteries, and—a small but important detail—it stays quiet in shared spaces. Now, there are a few trade-offs. The split is fixed, so you can't tent it or separate the halves. It's also got a big footprint, and there's no backlight. But for most people in a home or office setup, it’s a fantastic, confidence-building ergonomic upgrade.

You'll probably love the K860 if you're looking for noticeable comfort gains without a huge disruption to your workflow. The negative tilt and pillowed wrist rest genuinely help if you tend to drop your wrists while typing. And if you jump between a laptop and a desktop, the easy multi-device switching is a real sanity-saver. You might want to keep looking, though, if you need total adjustability—I'm talking true tenting, separate halves, or a columnar key layout. Same goes if you type in low light and can't live without backlighting. For folks with chronic RSI or a shoulder width that doesn't quite match the board, a fully split, tentable keyboard is going to serve you much better in the long run.

Day-to-day, the K860 is just about comfort without fuss. The keys are quiet and feel stable, and that wrist rest stays supportive hours into a work session. Logitech’s software covers all the essentials you'd want, like remapping keys or creating app-specific shortcuts. You can connect it with Bluetooth or the included USB receiver to as many as three devices. They claim up to two years on two AAA batteries, and honestly, you'll probably forget the last time you changed them. A couple things to keep in mind, though: that comfy wrist rest isn't removable, and the fabric can pick up skin oils over time. Also, its large size means you'll need some clear space at the edge of your desk for it to sit properly.
