Very Good
If you're tired of robot vacuums that just can't seem to clean along the baseboards, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav is a totally different story. Its navigation is solid, the mapping works without a fuss, and that edge-cleaning trick? It actually works. Your baseboards will finally look like someone cares. Plus, the suction is genuinely some of the strongest you can find in any robot, which is amazing for hard floors. But—and it's a big but—this is a premium vacuum with real trade-offs. There's no self-empty base, it doesn't mop, and it's taller than a lot of other bots, so it might not fit under your low-slung couch. If you care more about raw cleaning power and getting those edges clean than you do about all-in-one features, I think it's a great choice.
On the plus side, that edge cleaning is no joke. Dyson built this clever little duct that redirects suction right to the side, and it makes a huge difference. Pickup is fantastic on hard floors and even mid-pile rugs. And the app is pretty thoughtful, letting you set up no-go zones and clean specific rooms. Now, for the catches. Believe it or not, it's louder than average on its boost setting. The dustbin is also on the small side, so you'll be emptying it fairly often. And while it has a recharge-and-resume feature, the battery life for a single run isn't a record-breaker. If your heart is set on a vacuum-only bot that finally gets the edges, this is the one to beat. But if you're dreaming of a quiet, set-it-and-forget-it robot that also mops, you'll want to look elsewhere.
Here's the thing: the Dyson 360 Vis Nav is a specialist. It’s for homes that need serious vacuuming power, precise navigation, and truly clean edges—especially if you have lots of hard floors. People in apartments or with pets will love how much it picks up. But if your main priority is low-maintenance convenience, like a bot that empties itself and mops the floors, I'd honestly tell you to check out one of the big flagship models from a brand like Roborock or Ecovacs. You'll probably be happier.
